Admission Requirements
- B.S. degree in chemical engineering, bioengineering, paper science & engineering, or a closely related discipline
- Minimum GPA of 3.3/4.0
- TOEFL or IELTS scores for international students. Minimum scores are described here: https://www.grad.gatech.edu/english-proficiency
The final date to submit an application is January 3, 2023. We strongly encourage early submission, as admissions are made on a rolling basis.
Most students enter the PhD program directly from the BS. Most MS students take the coursework non-thesis option, which does not provide funding. If you are particularly interested in the MS thesis option, please contact Prof. Grover before applying, or consider the GT-EQUAL program: http://www.chbe.gatech.edu/gt-equal.
The School of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering offers a limited number of graduate school application fee waivers for financial hardship. To be considered for a waiver, please send a brief request with justification to Janice Whatley by November 1, 2022. The request for a waiver is not considered in a student’s admission decision.
