During Amanda Johnston’s first year at Georgia Tech, she was scrolling through Instagram when she saw the winner of Ms. Georgia Tech during the homecoming celebration.
“I called my mom and was like I’m going to be that one day,” said Johnston, a chemical and biomolecular engineering major.
Her premonition came true October 28 when she took the field at the Historic Boddy Dodd Stadium with seven other finalists for Ramblin’ Royalty during halftime of the Yellow Jackets homecoming game.
Johnston and Aimée Ogando were announced as the 2023 Ramblin’ Royalty honorees.
Learn more about them and the other finalists in this feature article on the Ramblin’ Royalty scholarship program (previously known as Mr. and Ms. Georgia Tech), which is based on academic pursuits, campus engagement, and leadership roles. https://studentcenter.gatech.edu/ramblin-royalty
