Jacqueline Snedeker
As a professional track faculty, Professor Snedeker does not have scientific research as a core requirement. She does, however, pursue research in engineering education. Her specific interests include the integration of professional skills, such as communication, leadership, and teamwork, into the graduate and undergraduate curriculum. She also has current interests in leveraging LLMs such as ChatGPT into technical communication instruction and in the effects of such efforts on student motivation and learning.
Jacqueline Mohalley Snedeker is a Principal Academic Professional in the School of Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering at Georgia Tech. She has served as director of the ChBE technical communications program since 2002. In addition to integrating multi-modal communication instruction into core and elective classes in the undergraduate curriculum, she also provides workshops and guidance on tasks ranging from fellowship applications to PhD proposal and manuscript preparation. Ms. Snedeker co-authored a textbook on communication for engineering students. She earned her B.A. in English and History and an M.A. in Education at Stanford University, followed by an M.A. in English at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
